For students
Are you on the hunt for course literature or a group study room? Do you want borrow a laptop computer or find a quiet place to read? Do you need a turtorial on information search strategies or study techniques? Wherever you are in your studies here in the library we have the resources and the knowledge to help you.
In the library you can borrow books, course literature, journals, laptop computers and MP3-players. You can also use the databases and e-resources which we subscribe to. In the library there are individual study areas, group study areas, including group study rooms for booking, and computer study areas.
Many of the library's services and resources can be accessed at home via the university's website. If you are a student on a web-based learning course, or in need of reading and writing assistance, the library can offer support and information which can be of value for your studies. The tutorial in critical literature and information searches takes place in one of the two teaching computer rooms here in the library. There is also the possibility to book a one-hour individual tutorial on information search strategies, for those of you writing an essay, report or degree project.
The Study Workshop is also in the library, and is there for all students at Södertörn University. Here you can ask for help with, for example, essay writing, the planning of oral accounts and other things relating to your studies. The Study Workshop is also here to provide help for those students with reading and writing difficulties.
